Celebrating a Meet To Remember at Churchill Downs / Friday, July 5, 2024

With Vahva after the Grade 1 Derby City Distaff.

West Point Thoroughbreds wrapped up a wonderful Churchill Downs spring/summer meet that included nine trips to the winner’s circle and an incredible five stakes triumphs.

The spotlight belonged to Vahva for conquering the Grade 1 Derby City Distaff and the Grade 3 Chicago Stakes but the star sprinter had company from Depiction and Zverev for trainer Cherie DeVaux as well as O Besos (St. Matthews Overnight Stakes) and On My Honor for Greg Foley, Cugino (Audubon Stakes) for Shug McGaughey, Atomic Blonde (Keertana Stakes) for Christophe Clement and Keep It Easy for Dale Romans.

West Point ranked one win behind Juddmonte at the top of the Churchill owner standings.
