Bourbon Ready, Spun Beautiful Double Up on Sunday / Monday, January 9, 2023

Bourbon Ready and Spun Beautiful teamed up for a Sunday double on opposite coasts for West Point and Partners.

Bourbon Ready was ready to rumble in his 4-year-old bow, drawing off to break his maiden by 10 1/4 lengths at Gulfstream Park.

Leading rider Luis Saez guided the son of More Than Ready for trainer Todd Pletcher. West Point owns Bourbon Ready in a racing partnership with Titletown Racing Stable.

Later on Sunday, Spun Beautiful notched her second straight victory at Golden Gate Fields, this time via disqualification. She finished second across the wire and was promoted to the victory due to an interference foul at the top of the stretch.

West Point campaigns Spun Beautiful with Titletown Racing as well as Hall Racing and Pearl Racing. Andy Mathis trains the 4-year-old filly, in collaboration with John Sadler, who previously trained her in Southern California.
