Determined Fury aced his turf debut in the finale at Belmont Park on Friday, backing up jockey Manny Franco’s confidence after putting the 4-year-old gelding through his paces in the infield last weekend.

“Wow he felt great out there,” Manny said.

Determined Fury is a son of Tale of the Cat trained by Christophe Clement, just like multiple grass champion Gio Ponti.
