French connections delivered as Parnac pounced from off the pace and got up in time Sunday at Belmont in a $100,000 allowance for jockey Flavien Prat and trainer Chrisotphe Clement. The French-bred filly scored her second victory in the United States and successfully stretched out to a mile and three-eighths.

The bay filly raced in Germany as a 2-year-old and joined the Clement barn in America in early 2022.

Flavien said, “She got herself in a good position and relaxed well all the way around and I was able to get her outside when I wanted to. I think this [trip] is what she wants to do, she could probably even go a little farther.”

Christophe said, “It was a masterful ride from Flavien and I’m thrilled that the filly was able to stretch out in distance so easily, it will open a lot of opportunities for her going forward.”
