Full of Luck full of pluck in first U.S. win / Monday, March 18, 2019

Full of Luck battled back gamely after being passed in the stretch at Golden Gate Fields on Saturday and nailed down his first victory in the United States.

Racing for the first time as a gelding, the Chilean import prevailed by a head in the open allowance with a strong ride from jockey William Antongeorgi III. Under pressure out front much of the way with favored Mithqaal to the outside, Full of Luck lost the lead for a few strides going past the eighth pole but would not be denied, coming back along the rail to get the job done at 4-to-1 odds.

A six-year-old son of Lookin At Lucky, Full of Luck has won nine times in 23 career starts. West Point campaigns him in partnership with CRT Stables, George Todaro and trainer Jerry Hollendorfer.
