Many thanks to trainer Tom Morley and Bruce Jackson of the Fair Hill Equine Therapy Center. Tom exemplified superb horsemanship when recommending Go Get the Munny get a break in his training after exhibiting some growing pains over the summer. The gelding was sent to Bruce Jackson in Maryland and absolutely flourished, returning to Tom’s barn in the fall as a bigger, stronger horse. His Partners’ patience paid off in spades!

“We had a race circled in mid-January, but then he acted up at the gate in the morning, and Tom’s team made the smart decision to be patient and wait,” said West Point president Terry Finley. “Giving this dude time to grow and mature over the summer did him a world of good, and I appreciate Rob Masiello and West Point Partners allowing us to do the right thing by the horse.”

Go Get the Munny’s effort on Thursday earned him an impressive 81 Beyer Speed Figure. It was a special win for jockey Luis Reyes, his first win as a journeyman after losing his apprentice allowance.

The gelding’s dam, Bliss is by Flashy Bull, West Point’s first grade one winner and first Kentucky Derby starter.
