This colt is by Charlatan, one of the most exciting young sires in the market and currently the #3 second-crop sire, off to a strong start with his early runners.
He showed plenty on the track, working :21.1 with a stride length a full foot above average, paired with straightforward breeze notes: nice type.
The pedigree is equally solid. He’s out of stakes winner Colby, a sharp 2-year-old winner, and from a family that includes graded performers and black-type depth.
He will be trained by Cherie DeVaux, one of the rising trainers in the game. She has a Breeders’ Cup win with More Than Looks to her credit and a strong Kentucky Derby contender this year in Golden Tempo. She also trains stakes performers Reagan’s Wit, Reagan’s Honor, Northern Invader, and Paige Turner for West Point as well as recently retired Grade 1 winner Vahva.
Price includes acquisition, training, veterinary, and insurance expenses until January 1, 2027.
