    • Out of a half sister to superstar Gun Runner

    • One of the most royally bred colts in the sale

    • 15 grade one winners for Quality Road

The West Point buying team partnered with Albaugh Family Stables to secure one of the most royally bred colts in the sale, a son of Quality Road, one of the most consistent and elite stallions in North America. A multiple Grade 1 winner himself, Quality Road has sired over 90 stakes winners and progeny with combined earnings of more than $120 million, including stars such as National Treasure, Abel Tasman, City of Light, and Corniche. He is the sire of West Point’s graded stakes winner and grade 1 placed Integration.

On the female side, this colt brings immense depth. His dam, Tap Gun, is by the great Tapit and is a daughter of Quiet Giant—a multiple graded stakes winner and half sister to none other than Gun Runner, Horse of the Year and one of the all-time greats of the American turf. Gun Runner earned nearly $16 million on the track, captured the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1), and is now a leading sire in his own right.

The family’s excellence doesn’t end there. The colt’s third dam, Quiet Dance, produced not only Quiet Giant and Gun Runner but also Saint Liam, Horse of the Year and Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) winner, along with Grade 1 winner Funtastic. This is truly one of the most coveted families in the stud book—a line synonymous with championship-level talent.
With Quality Road on top and the Gun Runner/Quiet Giant female line underneath, this colt has both the pedigree and the physique to be a classic horse in the making. He is a powerful, athletic individual who looks every bit the part of a future star.

The colt will be trained by Dale Romans, a veteran, Eclipse Award-winning conditioner with a long history of success developing Grade 1 winners and top-class colts on the biggest stages.

Price includes all acquisition costs and all training, veterinary, and insurance expenses until January 1, 2027.
