Originator Ignites for West Point Thoroughbreds’ 900th Win / Thursday, September 10, 2020

Originator and jockey Tyler Gaffalione timed their rally perfectly on the distinct course at Kentucky Downs to get up at the wire and land the 900th all-time victory for West Point Thoroughbreds.

The milestone came in the 30th racing season since Terry and Debbie Finley launched West Point in 1991. The stable has amassed $54,707,231 in purse earnings.

Originator collected $60,000 in the second-level allowance/optional claiming event, driving through the stretch to achieve her fourth lifetime tally. Ian Wilkes trains the stakes-placed mare for West Point, Denholtz Stable and Head of Plains Partners LLC.
