Perfect at 2, Jaxon Traveler Looks to Keep Rolling in Gazebo / Friday, March 12, 2021

Jaxon Traveler winning at Pimlico last fall.

A perfect 3-for-3 as a juvenile, Jaxon Traveler looks to extend the success into a 3-year-old season Saturday in the $150,000 Gazebo Stakes at Oaklawn.

Recently crowned Maryland-bred champion 2-year-old male of 2020, the swift bay colt will be racing for the first time since his victory in the Maryland Juvenile Futurity on December 5 at Laurel Park.

West Point and Marvin Delfiner acquired Jaxon Traveler a year ago this week in the OBS March sale of 2-year-olds in training.

Trained by Steve Asmussen, Jaxon Traveler is the 5-to-2 second choice on the morning line, with stablemate Cazadero (winner of last summer’s Grade 3 Bashford Manor Stakes at Churchill Downs) favored at 9-to-5.
