Flightline’s trainer, John Sadler, will look to keep the momentum going this weekend on a whole different front when 2-year-olds Pure Fire and Stone Silent debut with stakes assignments at Santa Anita on Saturday. Both were purchased a few months back at the OBS March sale.
Pure Fire, a New York-bred son of Practical Joke, teams with jockey Tyler Baze in the $100,000 Fasig-Tipton Futurity going 5 furlongs. Michael Talla co-owns Pure Fire.
In the corresponding race for fillies, Stone Silent and jockey Ramon Vazquez tackle the $100,000 Fasig-Tipton Debutante. Talla and Ed Barker co-own the Florida-bred daughter of Adios Charlie.
