Reagan’s Wit delivered in his second start of the year, rallying to victory with a picture-perfect trip underneath jockey Jose Ortiz in the Thursday feature at Keeneland.
The 4-year-old colt relaxed well off the pace and responded with a fleet turn of foot to win going away on a firm turf course.
A feisty chestnut with a distinctive white blaze, Reagan’s Wit was a stakes winner on Preakness Day at Pimlico Race Course in May 2025 for trainer Cherie DeVaux. He now owns 3 wins from 8 starts and has earned $171,271 for West Point and co-owner David Ingordo, Cherie’s husband and father of the colt’s namesake, Reagan Ingordo.
David secured Reagan’s Wit as a yearling for $135,000 at the Keeneland September sale.
