Saints’ Girl made her Partners’ visit to New Orleans worthwhile, splashing to a 13-length win on Sunday at the Fair Grounds.

Breaking from the rail under Colby Hernandez, the daughter of 2017 leading first-crop sire Overanalyze took the lead from the git-go and never looked back.

The filly had gotten tough in the mornings since her December 9 debut, so trainer Dallas Stewart backed her gallops to a mile each day, changed her feed a bit, and gave her only one three-eighths breeze between starts.

The West Point buying team purchased the Louisiana-bred chestnut filly from leading consignor Eddie Woods at the 2017 OBS March 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale.
