Shadow Matter Scores Third Win of Year / Friday, November 5, 2021

Shadow Matter kicked off Breeders’ Cup week on the right note for West Point and trainer Dallas Stewart on Thursday, storming home at Churchill Downs for his third win of the year.

Guided by Tyler Gaffalione in the $126,000 allowance, the 3-year-old colt registered a career-best 88 Beyer figure. Shadow Matter broke his maiden at Keeneland in April and prevailed at Churchill in a May allowance.

Purchased privately as a 2-year-old in training in 2020, Shadow Matter races for West Point and Jim Pearl’s Pearl Racing.
