On September 11, Scholar Athlete broke his maiden at Woodbine for Graham Motion. The handsome son of Einstein is now pointing for the $250,000 Cup and Saucer Stakes for Canadian-bred 2-year-olds run at 1 1/16 miles on the turf on Sunday, October 11 at Woodbine.

The mighty Defondo drew in off the also-eligible list and made his way from Louisville to Kentucky Downs in Franklin, Kentucky on September 16. After sitting a perfect trip under Brian Hernandez, he reeled in the leaders to score by a length.

Cajun Spirit became the stable’s newest stakes winner when he captured the E.L. “Red” Erwin Sales Graduate Stakes on September 19 at Louisiana Downs. In a stretch duel for the ages, Aftermarketspoiler got the job over WPT Partner and friend Rob Masiello’s filly Pop of Color on the 19th at Laurel. Jockey Trevor McCarthy rode our filly perfectly, making a huge move up the rail.
