West Point Thoroughbreds’ Atlas Major made a successful career debut Sunday at Colonial Downs, drawing away to win a maiden special weight for trainer Arnaud Delacour.

The 2-year-old son of leading second-crop sire Yaupon sat just off the pace before kicking clear to win by over four lengths under Samuel Marin.

Purchased by West Point Thoroughbreds at the 2026 OBS March Sale, Atlas Major had trained forwardly leading into his debut and rewarded his connections with a professional first-out victory.
