Galilean Goes for Repeat in California Dreamin’ at Del Mar / Friday, July 23, 2021

Galilean, the reigning champion Cal-bred of 2020, returns from the bench to defend his title in the $150,000 California Dreamin’ Stakes on the turf at Del Mar on Sunday.

Galilean captured the California Dreamin’ last July in his grass debut, splitting foes in the stretch and prevailing gamely in the 8 1/2-furlong event. He also scored in the California Flag Handicap going 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf at Santa Anita as well as the Soi Phet Stakes on the dirt at Los Alamitos, displaying his versatility throughout the year.

Joe Bravo takes the reins on the 5-year-old horse for the first time. They will begin from post seven of 10.
