Sold Out
“He’s as pretty of a mover as you’ll see at this sale,” said bloodstock David Ingordo. “I love the colt. If he was by Tapit or Not This Time, he probably tops the sale.”
All of our pre-sale notes for him were exceedingly positive. He’s big and strong with good bone and posted an excellent quarter-mile work at the breeze show. The colt went in 20.4 with a stride length well above average, galloped out strong, and wasn’t taxed at all heading back to the barn after strutting his stuff.
The colt will be trained by John Sadler, conditioner of the once-in-a-lifetime sensation Flightline, Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Accelerate, and grade one winners Catalina Cruiser, Gift Box, Rock Your World, Stellar Wind, etc.
Interestingly, John Sadler’s assistant and Flightline’s regular rider, Juan Leyva, rode Florida-bred Cajun Breeze 15 times, including in his maiden win.
While the Cajun Breeze colt will campaign in California, a ship back to the Sunshine State could be in the cards. He’s eligible for the lucrative Florida Stallion Stakes run this fall at Gulfstream, a series of highly restricted races worth 100k, 200k, and 300k. Last summer, a son of Cajun Breeze named Dean Delivers swept back-to-back stakes at Gulfstream before finishing third in the Grade 1 Vanderbilt at Saratoga.
Price includes all acquisition costs and all training, veterinary, and insurance expenses until January 1, 2025.
