Integration has been flawless and ultra-exciting in two starts thus far and will be in the spotlight closing out his 3-year-old season on Saturday in the $250,000 Hill Prince Stakes at Aqueduct.
The son of Quality Road is even-money on the morning line taking on nine sophomores in the Grade 2 Hill Prince. Trainer Shug McGaughey gave him plenty of recovery time and put a circle around the Hill Prince after Integration stepped up in a big way on September 9 at Colonial Downs, sweeping through the stretch to win the Grade 3 Virginia Derby (G3T) by a length and a quarter at 7-to-1 odds.
Shug said, “It’s not my style to run a maiden winner back in a stake, but it looked like the time to take a chance and it worked out. He’s a nice Quality Road looking horse and it’s all worked out pretty good so far.”
