Maryland-bred champion Jaxon Traveler heads back to the site of his first win and his biggest win on Saturday in the $100,000 Lite the Fuse Stakes at Pimlico.
Jaxon Traveler is 3-for-4 lifetime at Pimlico, including his triumph in the Maryland Sprint (G3) on Preakness Day in May.
The 4-year-old colt is 5-to-2 on the morning line in the 6-furlong Lite the Fuse.
Wesst Point also has a rescheduled stakes date Saturday with Cavalry Charge in the $1-million WinStar Mint Million (G3) at Kentucky Downs. The race was postponed due to wet weather last weekend.
Trained by Dallas Stewart, Cavalry Charge will break from the outside post in a field of 10 with David Cohen in the irons.
Lightly-raced Little Drama is 3-to-1 in the program for Friday night’s Oklahoma Stallion Stakes at Remington Park.
Stewart Elliott will guide Little Drama for Steve Asmussen, who also trains Jaxon Traveler.
