Super Corredora recorded her first workout since winning the Grade 2 Zenyatta Stakes, covering four furlongs in 48 seconds flat Friday morning at Santa Anita.
The champion filly worked handily over a fast dirt track, posting the fourth-fastest time among 18 horses at the distance.
Her Zenyatta victory earned her a fees-paid berth in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff through the “Win and You’re In” program. A trip to Kentucky would give Super Corredora an opportunity to double up at the Breeders’ Cup after capturing last year’s Juvenile Fillies at Del Mar.
Trainer John Sadler will assess how Super Corredora comes out of the breeze over the next several days before making a firm decision on whether she will make the trip.
