This bay colt by Elite Power brings together elite speed on top and an immediate family that has already produced a Grade 1-winning sprinter.

Elite Power was one of the most dominant sprinters of his generation, earning back-to-back championships while winning nine races and more than $3.7 million. He captured the Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) twice, along with the Alfred G. Vanderbilt (G1) at Saratoga, and this colt comes from his highly anticipated first crop.

The biggest pedigree hook is close up: this colt is a half-brother to Speed Boat Beach, winner of the Malibu Stakes (G1) and Cecil B. DeMille Stakes (G3). Speed Boat Beach was fast from the beginning, setting a Del Mar track record going 5½ furlongs, and went on to prove that speed at the Grade 1 level. The dam has been remarkably productive, with all three of her starters winning and her other two runners both stakes-placed, including West Point’s talented 3-year-old filly Paige Turner.

There is additional quality underneath, including Amie’s Dini, a stakes winner who placed in the Fantasy (G2), Honeybee (G3), and Delaware Oaks (G2), and eight-time stakes winner Kid Kate.

He will be trained by Cherie DeVaux, whose program continues to operate at the highest level, headlined by Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes winner Golden Tempo, Breeders’ Cup winner More Than Looks, and top sprinter Englishman, along with outstanding fillies including West Point’s Vahva and champion She Feels Pretty.
