This bay colt by Army Mule combines the speed of a Grade 1-winning sire with an exceptionally productive female family from one of Kentucky’s most respected breeding programs.

Army Mule was brilliant on the racetrack, winning all three of his starts by a combined margin of more than 22 lengths, capped by a dominant victory in the Carter Handicap (G1). He has carried that ability into his stud career, already siring 21 black-type winners, led by H. Allen Jerkens Memorial (G1) winner One in Vermillion, along with graded stakes winners Federal Judge and Ground Support.

There is an especially nice connection with our co-owner, St. Elias Stable, which campaigned Army Mule during his undefeated racing career.

The immediate female family gives us plenty to work with. His dam, Causal, has already produced Mrs. Astor, an eight-time winner of nearly $650,000 who has won the Red Carpet Stakes (G3) twice and the Robert J. Frankel Stakes (G3).

Underneath her is a family loaded with high-class runners. Second dam Ms. Cornstalk produced Canadian Horse of the Year Biofuel, champion 2-year-old filly Tu Endie Wei, and Grade 2-placed Indian Pride, whose son Publisher finished second in the Arkansas Derby (G1) before becoming a stakes winner.

The colt’s dam is by Creative Cause, giving him the same broodmare sire as Grade 1 winner Zandon, winner of the Blue Grass Stakes and a Kentucky Derby third-place finisher. There is another nice connection here: Zandon himself was bred by Airdrie Stud.

This colt was bred, raised and offered by Airdrie Stud, a program with a long history of producing elite racehorses. Airdrie has bred and raised more than 250 stakes winners and 28 Grade 1 winners, and finished 2025 ranked second among North American breeders by both earnings and stakes winners.

He will be trained by Cherie DeVaux, whose program continues to operate at the highest level, headlined by Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes winner Golden Tempo, Breeders’ Cup winner More Than Looks, and top sprinter Englishman, along with outstanding fillies including West Point’s Vahva and champion She Feels Pretty.
