This dark bay colt by Not This Time combines one of the most important sires in the country with an outstanding female family developed over generations by Emory Hamilton, whose celebrated broodmare band traces back to the historic King Ranch breeding program.

Not This Time has established himself among North America’s elite stallions, with 74 black-type winners and three champions already to his credit. His best runners include champions Epicenter and Up to the Mark, along with Grade 1 winners Magnitude, Cogburn, Sibelius, and others.

This colt earns an A+ TrueNicks rating and is bred on a similar cross to the freakishly fast Cogburn, one of Not This Time’s most brilliant runners. Cogburn’s speed was on full display when he set a North American record going 5½ furlongs at Saratoga in the Jaipur Stakes (G1).

The female family is every bit as appealing. His dam, Pleasant Passage, was a top-class 2-year-old who won the Miss Grillo Stakes (G2) before finishing second in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1). This is her first foal.

The depth continues underneath. The family has produced Hungry Island, a multiple Grade 2 winner who earned more than $750,000; Olympiad, winner of the Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) and more than $3 million; and Preservationist, a millionaire winner of the Woodward Stakes (G1).

He will be trained by Cherie DeVaux, whose program continues to operate at the highest level, headlined by Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes winner Golden Tempo, Breeders’ Cup winner More Than Looks, and top sprinter Englishman, along with outstanding fillies including West Point’s Vahva and champion She Feels Pretty.
