Twirling Candy filly Outlook

Twirling Candy has established himself as a leading son of Candy Ride. His best filly is the freaky good Finley’sluckycharm, a top candidate for this year’s Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint.

As a racehorse, Twirling Candy was incredibly consistent, only finishing off the board twice in 11 starts. What’s so cool about him is he won on everything and was distance versatile. In the summer of his 3-year-old season, he won the Del Mar Derby (G2) going two turns on turf then finished the year with a bang, winning the Malibu Stakes (G1) going seven-eighths on dirt. As a 4-year-old he was strong, capturing the Californian Stakes (G2) on synthetic before missing by just a neck and a head in Hollywood Gold Cup (G1) and Pacific Classic (G1).

This filly is out of a Not for Love mare -- meaning she shares a broodmare sire with Kentucky Derby and Dubai World Cup winner California Chrome! This cross has produced no less than nine graded stakes winners.

She’s owned in partnership with world-class bloodstock agent David Ingordo and John Shirreffs (trainer of one of the most talented mares EVER to race, Zenyatta).

Ingordo on Twirling Candy filly: This filly is a physical standout. She’s stunning. I like that she has a feminine head with a colt’s body.
