Mike McCarthy is based at Santa Anita and ran Endlessly in the 2024 Kentucky Derby. In 2021, he captured the Preakness Stakes with Rombauer. That same year, he scored in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) with Ce Ce, who garned an Eclipse Award as champion sprinter.

McCarthy worked for Todd Pletcher for many years as his top assistant and soon after going out on his own, developed City of Light into a world-class colt, winning the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) and Pegasus World Cup (G1).

McCarthy trains graded stakes winner Bullard for West Point Thoroughbreds.
